Who we are
Upcove is a service of Brousseau Enterprises Inc., based in Prince Edward Island, Canada. This policy explains how we handle personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- Account details: your name, business name, email, phone number and province.
- Your customers' details that you or they send through the service, such as phone numbers, names, messages, appointments and invoices.
- Call and message records needed to deliver the service, such as times, numbers and message content.
- Billing details, handled by our payment processor, Stripe. We don't store full card numbers.
- Basic website usage information, such as pages visited and browser type.
How we use it
- To provide the products you turn on, such as sending texts, reminders and invoices.
- To support you and keep the service secure.
- To bill you and keep required records.
- To improve the service. We don't sell personal information.
Text messaging
Mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for their marketing purposes. Anyone can reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts, and HELP for help.
Service providers
We use trusted providers to run the service, including telecommunications (Twilio), payments (Stripe), email delivery, AI language models that write and answer messages, and web hosting (Web Hosting Canada). They may process information on our behalf, and some may store it outside Canada, in which case it may be accessible to authorities in that country.
Our customers' customers
When a business uses Upcove to contact its own customers, that business decides what information is collected and why. We process it on the business's behalf.
Keeping and protecting information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law, and we protect it with reasonable security measures.
